Does your block have a neighborhood watch?
Walk.  Note the areas near your home.  Do you have a Neighborhood Watch on your block. If not contact your area representative and ask about starting one. Your area rep (scroll down a bit) will have strategies and materials that will help you get a Neighborhood Watch started. TPD has useful information also!

Each of the Jefferson Park areas has one or two people who are members of the JPNA board and keep apprised of the neighborhood issues. Your area rep and any officer are great resources.
