The Friends of Jefferson Park, Inc is a non-profit entity created to help the neighborhood maintain its historic integrity and improve the quality of life of all its residents. To that end the Friends worked to:
* raise funds to obtain the National Historic designation in 2012
* raise funds for the street signage
* and has annual fundraisers for projects in the neighborhood. The board consists of members of the neighborhood.

PRESIDENT - Joanne Osuna
Joanne has worked with the neighborhood assn since she retired from AZ Cancer Center. She works with Tucson Clean and Beautiful for the park adoption. She is co-editor of the Jefferson Park E-news. [email protected] |
VICE PRESIDENT - Colleen Nichols
Colleen has been a resident of Jefferson Park since 1977. She is a retired school administrator. She recently made upgrades to her home and maintained its historic contributing property status. [email protected] |
SECRETARY-Elizabeth Burrola
Liz has been an active resident of Jefferson Park. She participated in the work to get Jefferson Park designated as an historic district. She has formerly served as President of JPNA. Her continued service to the non-profit will serve us well! [email protected] |
TREASURER - Joan Daniels
Joan has lived on Edison Street since 1972. She is a retired teacher, curriculum specialist and school administrator. She, with neighbors, was the founder of the Friends of Jefferson Park, Inc and worked with all to raise funds for the cost of the historic district nomination [email protected] |
BOARD MEMBER - Trish Gehlen
Trish is long time resident of Jefferson Park and assists with the JPNA Land Use Committee. Trish is recently retired from the City of Tucson and already we have her at work in the neighborhood. She serves as the statuory agent for the Friends. [email protected] |
BOARD MEMBER - Alan Huerta
Alan Huerta has lived in Jefferson Park since 1983. His parents were married student residents of Polo Field Quonset huts when he was a toddler. Alan teaches Latin American History, was the owner/manager of the Cimarroncita Historic Ranch Retreat in Northern New Mexico and implemented landscape scale river conservation projects with Cimarron Watershed Alliance, Inc. Now retired, travels to Paris, Spain and northern Mexico, continues to photograph, fly-fish and write fiction. He also serves on the Board of Adjustment for the City of Tucson. [email protected] |
