The Friends of Jefferson Park, Inc was established in 2008 by a group of residents who wanted to create a non-profit entity to address many of the needs of the Jefferson Park Neighborhood. The Friends work in partnership with the Jefferson Park Neighborhood Association. Its stated purpose: The purpose of the Friends' is to preserve and promote the historic integrity of the neighborhood and to ensure the quality of life of the residents. Membership: The membership shall be open to all interested persons of the neighborhood and persons of the general public who wish to participate in furthering the goals of this organization. The Friends seek members from the neighborhood who wish to support the projects that enhance the living environment. Membership Fees: Currently none Meetings: Meetings are generally scheduled for the second Monday of every month. The meeting place rotates among the homes of the members. Lend A Hand, Inc. is a coalition of central Tucson neighborhoods, faith-based communities, and business partnerships. Their volunteers provide FREE services to seniors to allow them to continue to age-in-place.
